sunw and orcl still have a better roadmap for the internet and this will catch up with msft, ibm and other legacy type technologies. OK, you have my attention. Tell me exactly how Oracle has a better roadmap for the Internet vis a vis IBM's DB2 and Microsoft's SQL Server. Tell me how Oracle's web application server is better than IBM's WebSphere (the fastest growing web app platform in the industry), WebLogic's (the biggest market share), and Sun's. Next, I'd like to understand Oracle's and Sun's strategy for integrating all these legacy technologies with Internet based applications. Do you not realize just how much legacy software is out there and how difficult it is to rewrite it? After that, I want to understand exactly how IBM's UNIX based workstations are "legacy technologies" whereas Sun's UNIX based workstations are not. Sun is basically a hardware company. Hardware is a commodity. I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Oracle is a 1 trick pony - database software. What can they do well beyond having a good relational database? And exactly how does a database power the Internet? Sam After you've covered the software side, please explain
