Wow. Looks like Intel may indeed win the war in the end. I also saw these statements about AMD:

Third-quarter sales could be as low as $840 million, down 30 percent from the $1.2 billion the company reported in the third quarter of 2000.

and this one:

AMD said during its conference call that it expects to reduce capital equipment spending in 2001 to $900 million from the $1 billion it has said it would spend.

However, they expect to ship "record" number of microprocessors. So even lower ASP?
