So do you think people who are in comas are just cells? They don't have any self awareness? I wasn't aware that there were plans to harvest organs from people in comas, although I think I saw a movie like that 20 years ago. What is a human? I would say it has a lot to do with self awareness. Human babies don't develop such an ability until more than a year after birth. Exactly when is problematic, so the best definition of human life is at birth. Coma people? That is a trickier question. It would be necessary to know if the coma is permanent or not. I have no problem with scheduling organ transplants from known brain dead bodies (assuming they weren't killed for their organs). If it was ambiguous then it probably should be avoided. What about you? Should all those people who may be helped from stem cell research be told to die? TP
