Any ideas why? Do we care?>>>

Yes and no.

Yes, I know why, no, I don't care. . . but let me qualify that.

I just talked to Soundview's analyst and he said Zacks contacted him and needed an update and he gave them those numbers because he hadn't had time to sit down with JS and get what he needed for an official report. He and I went over the different contracts and the only one he's using as "solid" is the HKT/NEC. Why? Because the others don't have carriers attached and until they do, the end-results are unknown.* Actually, I think this is true of Siemens but not the other, as yet unannounced.

Okay, so Soundview set the bar as low as it could and the only place for it to go is up. I can live with that. He did hint that based on Aware's price Amati certainly deserves an upgrade. He didn't say he'd do it and don't anyone say that I said he would. :)

Bottom line: he sees ADSL finally getting off the ground and indicated he'd be talking to JS in the near future.

Cheers!

Pat

*I doubt Siemens would put in an order on what appears to be a rush basis --- pushing TI for chips and designating how many modems it wants when --- if it doesn't have a carrier waiting. I'm assuming non-disclosure agreements are keeping many details under wraps.
