Does W-CDMA have to work as well as CDMA2000? The answer is NO. Even with 1/4 efficiency it will become the world standard. The operators have already bet their lives on it. So it's in QCOMs self interest to get chips and software solutions out there pronto. This old time QCOMer is currently buying NOK had over foot.
