So Intel's newest chip on a process just now being brought on-line at a cost of $2 Billion to $3 Billion per updated FAB is a little smaller and (on some code) slightly faster than AMD's slowest, entry level, chip produced with AMD's oldest process - a plant and process so out of date that it's being shutdown for CPUs next year (and converted to flash).

And it's still almost as small and fast as the parts Intel is just now getting into production with new process capacity just now being brought on-line.
