Reminds me of when I sent a check 25 miles. 25 miles from a RR to a RR with no towns in between. 10 days later I had reason to call the fellow and he hadn't received the check. I cancelled the first check at a cost of $25 and drove another check over to him. The next day he got the first check, it had been traveling. For some reason it had to go to VT, MI, WI, MO, and Chicago before being delivered. All in all it made pretty good time for the distance traveled.
