Unfortunately the market now trades on sentiment....but good to know what stocks are strong and weak....but I watch that daily in the divergence /performers of the market...best advancers/decliners.....it works. people trade popular stocks(volume) and what works...they chase the rest...watching extremes is the easiest money to be found.....knowing they are extremes is the trick both directions, so there are always trades in an up/dn market...JMO
