The Christian, Jewish and Arab world have all come down with a bad case of extremism.

"How many young women are murdered? My guess is not many, but you conveniently leave this statistic out."

Statistics are troubling when one only wishes to make a point.

"How about the Presidents behavior toward women over the last eight years; is the constitution responsible for that?"

Not if you have the right lawyers apparently.

"Well, OK. The Qu'ran is a book not a human agency. The Quran covers every kind of evil injustice that exists in creation as well as being a guide for a just and clean life."

You are the only one here with direct experience of a world that is definitely "other" to the rest of us and we don't consider your voice valid. We appear to think (and by we I mean Solon) that you are biased for good or bad and we condescend to a culture that invented math and astronomy at a time when ours were squatting in caves speaking Gaelic.

"It is written as a caution to believers. In essence, God is saying this evil is known about temporal existence and the human condition; that believers are likely to succum to all kinds of entrapments and since you humans have been warned, no one has an excuse with it and neither does he."

Awesome and way cool! People responsible for their actions, no professional victims chasing cars and miracles hoping to get hit.

I find it interesting The Qu'ran was the first book to promote animal welfare. This would not be allowed. uan.org

The Qu'ran quotes Mohammed as saying, "A good deed done to an animal is as meritorious as a good deed done to a human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is as bad as an act of cruelty to a human being." Mohammed called it "a great sin for a man to imprison those animals which are in his power," banned all animal fights and forbade the commercial trade in animal skins. Retired Islamic imam Al-Hafiz Basheer Ahmad Masri, an expert on Islamic teachings on animals, says that "any interference with the body of a live animal which causes pain or disfigurement is contrary to the Islamic principles."

"There is not an animal on the earth nor a flying creature on two wings but they are people unto you" --The Qu'ran
