Labor Art Splash

Most buildings, museums, bridges, churches and other urban landmarks were
built entirely on the sweat and blood of the working class. These are the
men and women who gave their lives to the construction and creation of
great cities such as New York, the people who've done all the work and
received little of the credit.

The Labor Arts website is a work in progress, a 'virtual museum' dedicated
to honoring the cultural history and accomplishments of working
people. There are fascinating exhibits such as 'Unseen America', a
photography exhibit in which workers use their cameras to give us a closer
look into their working lives.

Abandoned Places

Henk Van Rensbergen is an airline pilot who loves to take pictures. When
he's not flying 747's across the globe for a well-known Belgian airline,
Mr. Rensbergen is building a striking collection of personal photographs.

Abandoned-Places.com is Henk's online portfolio, a compilation of
photographs that focus on abandoned hopitals, churches, hotels, buildings
and factories. His pictures are poignant examples of the stories he sees
in these forgotten places, these 'pyramids of the industrial revolution'.
