, I'm claiming there is an effort to culturally cleanse every trace of Christianity from the land.

Hyperbole! I won't deny that there may be some extremists who want to do that. There are nuts around of all persuasions and on all issues.

I am certainly not one of them. All I've argued with you is that prayers don't belong at high school football games. That's hardly "cleansing every trace of Christianity." I also don't think the Ten Commandments are appropriately displayed as a guide to living in any public building. It boggles my mind how fans of the Commandments don't understand the problem with Commandment #1. If people want to display the other nine it's OK with me.

There are a lot of systemic influences in our society that tend to polarize. Even among people who aren't extremist nuts, each side is reluctant to give an inch for fear of being blown away. I have no problem with Santa Claus in schools, Christmas displays at city hall as long as they're seasonal and secular in addition to religious, or after school Bible classes, as I mentioned earlier. I'd prefer they take the "under God" back out of the Pledge of Allegiance and that they scrap the chaplain in Congress, but I'm not prepared to make an issue of either. I am definitely prepared to make an issue of prayer and football.
