The seniors I refer to are probably much older than you, and they actually are somewhat split, throwing about 60% of their rapidly decreasing weight against any candidate who accepts the true reality of Social Security. I refer to the "Social Security as Religious Cult" group, now in approximately the 75 and older age range. They were carefully taught that private sector investment is unwise, and any money they tried to save on their own would be destroyed in the next "crash". Their lessons were that their labor union would take care of all their thinking while they were working, and then a combination of the union pension and Social Security would take them to the grave. Up to about 15 years ago, they hunted down and destroyed politicians who dared to mention that Social Security was anything less than a gift from God himself, and that contemporary workers were not privileged to be allowed to be held hostage to it.

With the propaganda barrage they were subjected to from Roosevelt through Clinton, it's amazing that a good 40% of them still saw through the scam, and a tribute to the character of this generation, that has been taken for a ride by the socialists for their entire lives.

They are fading away rapidly now, and the socialists have a big problem: The ones who are following see through the fraud. The coming political cycles will reflect the swing back against the socialism that has served the Democrats so well right up to the Clinton years. And perhaps a reaction against the Clinton/Gore/Daschle scare tactics of recent campaigns will spur the "Cult" voters to finally atone for many decades of electoral sin...
