Howdy, OZ. I have to agree with Dale that your intro is somewhat misleading. After reading , "This is the first time in years that I have posted to an investor or on an investing board", I was surprised to find you are an active poster on SI. But since you are a short term trader, I'll accept the logic you used in making that claim.

>> First let me say that I am a full time trader and short term investor/trader for some of my accounts (401k).

Many of us are full time investors/traders here, OZ, but our approaches vary greatly. Fortunately, there's more than one way to profit from the market.

>> you should transfer that money to high quality Technology Mutual fund instead of an Index Fund.

Please explain the logic behind that advice. I am a great believer in indexing for those who don't have the time or inclination to manage their own investments. It is reported that only 1 in 6 actively managed funds beat the index, so why not make the odds on play instead of relying on a money manager?
