There are some responsibilities that government must perform. They cost money. How do you propose that the govt collect the money? Guys on the corner in Uncle Sam suits with a bell and a bucket like the Salvation Army? I think you are mixing up the hated income tax with the hated IRS. Many of your posts seem more anarchist than conservative. I know that anarchy is supposed to be the ultimate form of freedom, but it's not really realistic in today's world is it? There will always be someone bigger and stronger and smarter than you are, and if he wants something that you have, you lose. IMO anarchy is just as ridiculous as communism, fascism, socialism and any other utopian "isms". Many studies have verified that when survival is at stake, altruism rapidly gives way to self-interest. In other words, we all get along in times of plenty, but it's kill or be killed during the shortages and famines. Chas
