Keefecat: I agree with you. Democrats should be given the benefit of the doubt. If a democrat (especially an elected official) commits murder, perjury, obstruction of justice -- then the politician should hire an attorney. Without any solid facts, the official should be able to get off due to public sentiment (i.e., Clinton).

The press should go after the Republicans, whom are the true criminals. Democrats should not be harassed or accused of crimes. I am proud that Mr. Clinton could do whatever he wanted. Mr. Condit should do whatever he wants. Now if he was a Republican, then it would be different.

If a democrat is in trouble, then hire an attorney. The bar association is a key figure in the democratic party.
