Jim H - Re: reading the portfolio page

"$cash" field in the portfolio itself represents all realized gains from closed positions since inception on SI on April 28, 2001. (not cash in the account)

Here is a clip from my JULY 13th DAILY ACTIVITY and OVERALL PERFORMANCE post earlier today:

"Approximately 1390K shorts and 413K longs, 77% vs 23% to the short side.
Portfolio is 88% invested of cash.
Total realized gains since April 28, 2001 are $578,808."

So, I started with $1.5 million
realized gains are $578,808
unrealized losses are ($27,651)
current portfolio value is $2,051,157

I hope this clears up any confusion you might have.
