res- And these folks think that GW would have walked away on the day after the election if he had been 500 votes behind? Yeah, right. Baker, DeLay and their boys would have made the Gore folks look like choirboys

Idle speculation on your part. The only Republican who lost in a controversy during the last election process, had the decency to not challenge the outcome legally, even though his legal claim was clearly stronger than Gore's, since a dead man can't possibly serve as Senator.

Gore never led in the Presidential race, he never led after the first count, after the second count, nor after the special lawyer driven re-count after re-count. The only place he ever led in the vote count, was in the eyes of the mainstream media and wishful Democrats.

Deal with it Paulau, He lost.

He may have lost by only a few thousand votes, but he did lose. Incessantly whining about the outcome months later won't change that reality.

Oh, I understand the talking point philosophy is to paint Bush as an illegitimate President, and in so doing is supposed to help the Democrat cause. But honestly, I think the inside the beltway crowd has this one all wrong. It only shows what a bunch of shallow (we only care about our party, damn our country), people currently fill the Democrat party.
