Troy, if you place limit orders you will not have this problem. I'm buying at the bid. You're buying above the offer. What could we possibly be doing differently? ;) Also keep in mind that the 1-minute "guarantee" (e.g. commission-free trade) doesn't apply to NASDAQ stocks before 10 AM. (Still, as has been said here before, if your buy order truely went above the offer, or sell order below the bid, you are owed an adjustment. Jon Normile said that himself. I presume they will take care of you if that happened.)
