Where does the definition come from? Why do you accept it?
It's recognized by every legal, medical, and scientific authority that I acknowledge. It also makes sense. There are numerous good reasons to believe it, and few good ones (that I can see) not to. That, of course, does not make it the "right" definition. Other people may have other definitions, to which they are entitled. However, since the definition of "human" that includes females within its parameters is shared by the vast majority of the people around us, and since we have decided that majorities get to make rules, that is the definition that the rules we have devised to govern ourselves are based on. Other people may have other definitions, but they still have to follow the rules, because if they don't they will get locked up. That may or may not be "right" or "wrong", but that's the way we've decided it's going to be.
The accepted definition may eventually change. If it changes, rules will change. Not overnight, but they will change. Basic assumptions are constantly being challenged, everywhere, with varying degrees of success. Things are changing. Things that are considered "right" today will become "wrong", and vice versa. Some will demand more change faster, some will demand no change at all. The tension between them will affect the pace of change, but change will continue.
