I wonder how much money they have to front now as opposed to when it actually opens. Probably a drop in the bucket?. This reminds me of the Animal Kingdom in Orlando--I wonder how that park is doing? I only visited there for a few hours about a 1.5 years ago--a friend who works there showed me all the good stuff. It is their largest land-useage park, but was definitely not crowded at the time (but was pretty new). I would hazard to guess that was a more expensive project than the California Adventure in the first place, but perhaps is doing better now since you don't see it constantly mentioned in articles like the California Adventure.
