Yippee for the "W"!
Our county team lost their second game in the winners bracket. Seems the score was 2-1 in the 6th and they had the bases loaded with 2 outs with a 3-1 count. (doesn't get any more exciting than that) The press reports indicated that on the next pitch, the plate umpire hesitated on the call, the runners thought it was ball four, and started advancing thinking that they just walked in the run to tie the game. When, the cry went out "Strike!" The runner on first was thrown out ending the game. Life can be tough!
Well, we have, by my count, 25, or 1/3, of the Big Boyz releasing their earnings this week, so it will indeed be exciting. It starts in the morning with C and BAC. They have beat up C on speculation over Latin America and loan loss reserves. If the financials join the party, it could give the market a needed shot tomorrow. As to the techs, we have INTC on Tues, IBM on Weds, MSFT and SUNW on Thurs. From my perspective, this could be the catalyst for a Big rally. OTOH, if we cannot break through resistance this week, then I fail to see the catalyst later.
We got down trend lines and neck lines within percentage points above us, so the pivot points are cast.
