Boy, do I agree with you on that point. Why is it that people can get more "up in arms" about a dog than a child?

And speaking of other current events, I see there's a thread on the Levy-Condit situation that's on the hotlist. All the usual suspects are using the opportunity to blast Condit as a sleazy Democrat. Interesting, because according to the thread header, the thread is supposed to be about solving the mystery of Chandra Levy's disappearance. Politically-based rants about Condit, and thereby all Democrats, are less than helpful and do Ms. Levy and her grieving family a disservice, in my opinion.
