Mr. Condit is a Hero.

Mr. Condit is a national hero. He is a respected Congressman from Modesto, California. His personal life (assuming he did nothing illegal) is his own business. Period. This isn't 1984 with thought-control police, sex police, and moral majority police.
Now if he committed a crime (i.e, obstruction of justice, murder, perjury, etc), then that is a different story. But charge him first and provide counsel to defend any charges. Rumors and innuendos are simply insults to a man of Mr. Condit's status.
I'm appalled that the public can attack Mr. Condit in the court of public opinion, but yet acknowledge that a crime has not been committed and that there are no charges against Mr. Condit.
This is why democrats hire attorneys. The public declares an individual a criminal before a charge has been cast.
