CB - ...Not sure whethere you are aware that the US had recovered from the Great Depression by 1937... No I wasn't, thanks. What did the recovery result from, domestic or foreign business? Do you know when FDR began a stepup in defense spending? If memory serves, there were 100 aircraft carriers in at least the planning stage at the time of Pearl Harbor. Regards, Don
