Hey! Weren't you the dude that said that I was being overly optimistic [naive] about evolving out of war? <s> And here you're ready to zero out the Defense Appropriations Bill. God damn liberal....! If this be liberalism, make the most of it! I'd do it in a heartbeat if it were practical. For decades one of the selling points often used to justify the military budget was that it stimulated the economy. I was long suspicious that this was a crock. We could stimulate it as well by paying people $50 an hour for digging holes and filling them up again. I believe the last decade proved my suspicions correct. Military spending is a drag on the economy and we would be better off if we could do without it.
