Trakker, I always enjoy your posts. I just wanted to respond to one thing you said regarding Intra/Internet stocks, to wit: "The emergence of the intranet will make the NOS obsolete."

I don't see how that can happen. You can't run any kind of network without using a NOS. That NOS can be NetWare, NT, Unix or whatever else, but somewhere there has to be a server, and the server has to run a NOS. That is, unless the entire network consists of peer to peer connections.

Today, the majority of servers on the Internet run Sun O/S or some other Unix variant, with NT in second place. Both qualify as Network Operating Systems.

I know this is off the subject, so I apologize to all. Sometimes I just can't contain my urge to wax professorial.
