"Natural" does not mean reasonable- at least not to me. I know where you are coming from. I wish there was no cruelty to anything. I cannot stand cruelty, but I can understand it.
I don't sanction rage induced violence. And of course where is the line between being truly out of control and using "out of control" as an excuse? I recognize that. But for me- this particular case boils down to a dog, overcrowded prisons, and real murderers, rapists, etc, of humans, who don't have beds in those overcrowded prisons. I recognize that killers often start with animals. But until all the actual murderers of humans are kept in prisons for suitable (imo) stays, I won't be advocating anyone else should go to prison. ALL criminals, who do not pose a clear and present danger to humans, should be punished in some other way than prison. IMHO etc. That's all there is to it for me. |
