"i have reversed my previous pessimism and have become decidedly bullish on MSFT and now seek at least 85 in the next month or so. i think that if the stock does move up, an upward movement can continue after MSFT releases erns (as long as they don't say something bad)."

I remain bullish until July 19, at which time a "short the you know what play" will be the move to make. Look for MSFT stock to be flat until Aug 31, then down until mid Oct, the next really good buy time for position traders.

"i feel that people haven't fully discounted the effects of xbox and wxp yet and the thing about NM settling with MSFT is a good indication of what the justice dept will do too. why do i say this ? NM in the election was a repub state, so similar thinking will most likely surface at the federal level as well."

MSFT is growing at less than 10% a year and should be peaked out this run from the 50's on earnings day July 19.
I don't look for xbox to contribute much, if anything, to growth, in fact, Sony's xbox was a loser. The "states" lawsuit was a "sue the billionaire company" and maybe get a hand out from the beginning and should fall apart, how ever, the DOJ will not go away. One of us will be right.
Have a good one, Frog
