Jim - Re: "...leveling the playing field for all." What are you advocating? Do you want Intel to turn over its designs to Cyrix? I thought you were so bullish on Cyrix's superior x86 designs to warrant this unnecessary. Do you want x86 customers (The PC manufacturers) to HAVE TO BUY chips by the QUOTA system? - 10% for Cyrix, 15% for AMD, 70% for Intel, 5% for "Mrs. Fields' Cookies and Semiconductors"? The American system has worked well albeit not perfectly. I know Russia is rapidly giving up on Communism - If you want a "better system" that Communism offers, perhaps you can try North Korea or the Peoples' Republic of Minnesota. Paul
