Now you have me thinking and that could be dangerous to my 'pewters health.<gg> You are correct that my intent is to retire my present C drive and that I have an image of C on my D drive.

I believe that I could just install the new drive in place of the C and format it in either of 2 ways. I could use my Windows Me boot disk which contains Command.Com on it or use the Drive Image 4.0 rescue disks that also have Command.Com. Using an image, I don't need or want to partition the new disk, so no Fdisk?

I should be able to restore the image to the new and larger drive from the D drive using the rescue disks and still have access to the rest of the new C drive.......I think?

I hope you (or anyone) will set me straight if I am out in left field with this thinking. I am going to wait a day or so before I attempt this in order to get some more input and maybe spend some time reading the Drive Image manual.

Thanks again PW!

Bob
