If you don't set it for quick boot, the power on self test takes a while, and he had the jumpers set wrong for the speed chip he was using (read the follow-up). Sorry Tinker-Bell, but wishing as hard you can won't make the SMP Athlon servers and workstations go away. It may work for Peter Pan, but it isn't going to work for you.
