Dear Derek: Well, I hope that the situation is better than you fear. One thing you have to realize is that human life in the Orient does not seem to have the same value as in the west. Perhaps its because there are so many of them. IMHO China has come a great distance since the days of my childhood but it still has farther to go. I think the olympics can only speed the process. JDN
