I'm also concerned because much of the media in Europe - not precisely predisposed to like or admire Bush - seems to be having its prejudices confirmed, which of course only fans the flames. Even the BBC, which is normally very neutral (it attracts roughly equal accusations of bias from left and right, LOL) seems to be becoming somewhat less objective.
It's not an anti-American thing, either (except possibly in France). It's directed at Bush, and the Strangelove wannabe's he's surrounded himself with...

Gore might have had an easier ride had he been judged to have won the election <g>; I'm not certain he would either have or deserve significantly more respect, but I think he'd have been more diplomatic - more understanding of the existence and difference of other opinions.
