Folks have connected the El Nina and El Nino to undersea volcanic activity, which has been fairly active over the last few years. They believe the pacific oceanianic temps and currents have been altered..., pushing our climate into a new set of cycles. But New England has always been a focal point of storms following jet streams, I believe there's at least six patterns that cross here. Mount Washington and Katahdin are similar monadnocks like Rainier and Hood..., attracting and creating weather.

Lot of Canadian highs typical of the fall have been pushing through creating unstable conditions. If we don't get summer in July..., you might as well forget about it...! <sigh>
