><>...James, you are quite welcome....><>
My life to those who know me, is an open book. You bet I admit that the name definitely sounds as though it's origins are from the mid-east...So then you admit that you were prejudiced by a name?
I have never lived anywhere but Good old America....I was born and raised in the USA, and so were both of my parents, and as a matter of fact so were all of my grandparents.
James I never tried to make you believe anything. My post concerning the Lev.food laws was a statement on God's command concerning them, and a comparison to the NT teachings....and how they are still the same, no contradictions.
I also never retracted, nor did I make any mention as to the jews and what they eat or do not eat, when as you say,I was called on them. We both know as a matter of general knowledge that all Jews do not heed the food laws. What I did say was that it just makes good common sense not to eat those foods. That not eating them it is a healthy way of living, since nothing has changed since God commanded us not to eat them, neither in the biology of the scavenger or in the anatomy of humans. And the same things that made the people sick back then, still makes us sick today. Med science has proven this beyond a doubt.
I also never once even suggested that eating those foods was a sin. God forbid....I did say though that it was probably a sin to our body, in that those foods, fat in particular, were harmful to our health.
In no way shape or form do I believe that eating them puts us at risk of losing our salvation God forbid...we are under grace and not the law...Thank God.!
In my hay day my dear friend I ate my share and then some, of those foods...But I don't anymore, I will never again put swine or any part of swine to my lips, never.....And as for the other scavengers, well I have had many tempting times, but still turn down lobster, shrimp, and crabs....They are just not healthy, not to mention safe to eat anymore.
Someone also accused me of eating kosher foods, and he did so just because of my name. Like everyone else I enjoy all foods from most nations, but as to kosher, I know nothing. But if enjoying knishes is enough to accuse then I stand convicted. Kosher is a process by which foods are slaughtered, stored, cooked and prepared, even to the extent of using particular pots and dishes....this is all nonsense to me and my family...the traditions of man....make void the word of God.
Our good brother Steve has on many occasions stated that he also heeds the Lev.food laws.He mentioned it once or twice on the AsK God thread and at least once on Here's to your health. He too was accused by someone as being a Judaiser, whatever that is...But you have not questioned his beliefs on grace and or the law....
I'm sorry that my screen name has caused you some confusion, but that is because you made assumptions based on a name...
I will say once again my good brother, all of this was written to you to help you understand where I am coming from, and all of it was written with good and peaceful intentions.....I'm on your side my friend, we work for the same Boss....Praise His Holy Name.!
Have a blessed day Shalom...><>
