Yup, gives a whole new meaning to the Spanish: "Es la luna, non?"

More people should spend time up there, maybe we'd all be more humble and at peace...!

Interestingly, some ecologists are urging scout groups and others to avoid the wilderness. Because the mere presence of large groups tends to damage the fragile ecosystem irrevocably. My answer is to walk above the alpine. Then the only thing I'm possibly responsible for is accelerating gravity's efforts at tearing down these lovely ash-heaps known as the Cascades. They don't call 'em that for nuttin'! OTOH, I'd be delighted if more people would spend time up there because I'm a huge fan of natural selection and the Darwin Awards.
