Karen, when you were arguing with me to support fetal stem cell research you talked about how it would be a shame to waste the the embryos or fetal material that was all ready there from fertility clinics or from fetuses that were aborted for other reasons. How do you think the following effects that argument?

cbsnews.com
(CBS) News Wednesday that Virginia
scientists had created human
embryos in the lab for the sole
purpose of harvesting their stem cells
may have raised the stakes in the
debate over whether to federally fund
such research.

Leaving aside for the moment my disgust at this, I would wonder why they did this. As far as I know there are plenty of stem cells available, why use a method to obtain them that would only add to your opposition.
