I sat out Sunday afternoon with my wife in our gorgeous big garden full of roses in various states of bloom, wistaria, lilies you name it. Four minutes walk away is a subway station. So how was I on my miserable salary able to get such a place? It started with Xerox, Polaroid and IBM, particularly the latter. They were the gorillas of duplication, instant photoraphy and main frames. Much later Microsoft, the gorilla of PC basic software. What a run! I bought all of these before the term gorilla had been applied to stocks. You simply can't convince me that the gorilla "theory" is due for the junk heap. It's simply a matter of valuation. Gorillas can get overvalued; we have to pay careful attention to that. End of sermon/rebuttal.
