No wonder Europeans have a dim view of Republicans. Wonder how often these types of things happen?

Search for intern shifts to old mansion

FROM RICHARD BEESTON IN WASHINGTON

POLICE investigating the disappearance of the young intern who was having an affair with a California congressman sealed off an old mansion in a popular Washington park yesterday.
After reinforcements were brought in to scour the thickly wooded area in Rock Creek Park, officers cordoned off a section of Klingle Mansion, a 19th-century farmhouse about two miles from the flat of Chandra Levy, the missing intern. One report suggested they may have found some evidence at the site, possibly a bone.

The 24-year-old intern worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She was having an affair with Gary Condit, 53, a married Republican congressman, who represents her home town of Modesto, California.
