JMAC,

I seperate my technical analysis into 2 parts, SHORT-TERM(1-5 DAYS) & MID-TERM(5-30 DAYS).

My CLASS 1 buys are based on the SHORT-TERM analysis with movement within 1-5 days. MID-TERM breakout means extended runs beyond the 5 days which will include minor dips.

Most of the non HI-TECH indexes have already started their extended runs and some may have peaked. In general the HI-TECH sector is just staring to breakout in their extended runs. Market permitting, the MSH,IIX,SOX have basically just started their extended runs this week.
Remember, they all have started running; this mid-term analysis is to help determine if they still have some life in them in the current cycle. The SOX started this run at approx 285, so it is already up 25 points.

Please keep in mind that this MID-TERM ANALYSIS/EXTENDED RUN is less accurate than the SHORT-TERM ANALYSIS. Since end of MAY when I started posting on various threads my CLASS 1 INDDEX BUYS, I am 4 for 4 with an average return of approximately 40%.
