Douglas: Although I went to the Brocade training in SFO last month, didn't attempt certification. Went to maybe a half-dozen classes, rest general lecture on other aspects of SANs that didn't really have brocade-specific content.

All their classes were real-world, and outstanding. Taught by engineers with practical field experience, with minimum classroom theory time. Only complaint I have is not enough lab time. They added another session for lab at last minute by juggling sessions around, but that still wasn't enough. Brocade promised to fix that next year.

As for 35% of Brocade's revenue from channel, that's great. They are doing it right, certifying resellers. If they weren't, then I wouldn't consider investing in them. (Going back to why I am extremely bearish on companies such as DotHill)

When you see FC HBAs, enclosures, disks, hubs, and Brocade switches at your local Fry's, the technology will be ready for the small VARs.
