InfoSpace's planned broadband services will expand to include many exciting private-labeled services following our recent merger with Go2Net, Inc.
Broadband Consumer Portal
InfoSpace plans to offer a comprehensive portal infrastructure for businesses targeting consumers via PC (DSL & cable-modem) and TV (satellite & set-top box) distribution platforms. Look for personal organization tools like Calendar and Address Book; communication capabilities such as Alerts, Email and Instant Messaging; directory services like Yellow Pages; powerful Search functionality; as well as a complete set of broadband content for News, Finance, Entertainment, Sports, Weather and more. Plus, our broadband consumer portals will be fully integrated with the InfoSpace wireless products to deliver a truly cross-platform solution.
Broadband Small/Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) Portal
InfoSpace plans to offer a comprehensive SME portal infrastructure product. Private-labeled for our customers, the SME portal will deliver a range of broadband content, organization and productivity tools, communications and resources (including broadband content) for the small to medium sized enterprise. The SME Portal will also be an integrated part of InfoSpace's flexible platform to allow for access from a number of wireless devices and wired devices (PC, TV, etc.).
Interactive TV
Our interactive TV services will combine broadcast programming with interactive applications for media companies and service providers. Through InfoSpace technology, your television audiences will be able to tune in to their favorite programming, game shows and sporting events and access companion services that integrate content, communications and commerce. Look for applications such as interactive shopping, personalized portal environments and information tickers, localized and personalized content, search, statistics, interactive gaming, quizzes and polling. InfoSpace will bring interactivity and new applications to traditional TV audiences to enhance the television experience and leverage your popular TV content and brands.
InfoSpace has built patent-pending technology to integrate interactive triggers and IP content into the streaming broadcast signal. The triggers and content utilize the ATVEF standard, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of consumer set-top boxes. We are also working with multiple broadcast providers to enhance their broadcast programs with such interactive components.
3G Wireless
InfoSpace and its valued partners are driving the convergence of the wireless and broadband worlds. With the third generation of wireless, InfoSpace plans to offer a new level of engaging services like interactive gaming, photo albums and more to people with 3G enabled wireless devices anytime, anywhere.
