I think that the government wants something/anything to start up on Km88 for political/social reasons.

Just how and when, leaves a lot of latitude for interpretation. Will there or can there be economies of scale? What will the tax/royalty picture look like?

Very certainly there won't be any gold poured next Monday. We don't know to what degree the new operator would have to twin the holes to secure financing. Then there are the permits, site preparations, financing etc etc. With so many variables in place, who knows when extraction will take place on a large scale.

The situation will likely evolve in a manner that will allow several parties to save face.
