I wish I had the faith of kholt that everything arrived at by consensus apparition science was gospel. I would even settle for the faith of Greg McRitchie, but when it comes right down to it both require faith.

My experience with scientists is they always tamper with data to arrive at conclusions they can't prove but that they feel is right. I see it in the earth sciences all the time. Numbers are pushed around and prodded to arrive at conclusions for the sole reason of getting additional funding.

The real joy for an earth scientist is a UN assignment or the plum lecture circuit and to publish their lofty thoughts in obscure journals. Some great ideas are actually generated in the process.

Still, it requires a great leap of faith that I don't possess to take anything consensus apparition science or religion arrives at as gospel.
