We are with you...when can we get our missiles and suitcase nukes? It is our right!!!!! That deals with the question of the definition of arms. Do you think the federal government would support the idea of a militia, even an official state one with nuclear weapons? If "arms" means any weapon and the right is the right of state militias then they would apparently have to. Throw out weapons of mass destruction and anything to big to carry and I think you might have a better definition of what was meant by arms, but even then that part of the amendment is open to some interpretation. Are hand grenades, a heavy machine guns, or rocket propelled grenade launcher, arms that we have a right to own? Perhaps but there is some uncertainty on that question, and I for one will not lead the push to deregulate them. They are not clearly protected by the amendment. Your post doesn't deal with the question of is there a personal individual right to keep and bear arms at all, so you attack my post with something no relevant to it but once the question was raised I figured I would address it.
