No one mentioned it, so I will...PFE hit their number today.

biz.yahoo.com

They woulda got a nicer pop, but the application for inhaled insulin is going to be delayed due to possible issue of inducing anti-insulin antibodies (and a lesser issue of 1 patient out of a thousand developing interstitial fibrosis). I don't think it's a big deal, and the stock was knocked down due to Pharmacia going belly up on parecoxib's delay in FDA approval. These guys WILL make 30%/yr for a loooonng time to come, they have a great product line, pipeline and probably the best sales force of all the big pharmas. Additionally, I think they'll get a pop before the year's out when it becomes apparent that the recovery AIN'T on the way. In fact, if I could only buy one stock and hold it for 25 years, this would be the one.

I hope I've made my point. Somebody bring me my floppy shoes!<G>

Disclosure: LONG on PFE (and adding on any weakness).
