Given the prevailing state of political discourse on SI, I find that statement quite ironic. Perhaps you prefer "dialogue" on the level of jlallen's recent discourse on global warming? Maybe that's the problem, W went and told them it was all a fraud.

What does jallen's statements or those of anyone on SI have to do with the statements of positions of either GW or the elected Western European leaders? My point was GW has certain ideas that are different from those of some European leaders. He doesn't go to them and say you have to accept my ideas, he just follows his ideas. The European critics on the other hand get all bent out of shape because Bush will not accept some of their ideas and they apparently don't understand or at least don't accept differing opinions on these issues. The "prevailing state of political discourse on SI has nothing to do with this.
