Anything COULD be true....INTC executives might tell you that an elephant can hang from a cliff with it's tail wrapped around a daisy. What does common sense (and the reports of nearly every other related company, including the DRAM makers, the contract manufacturers and the OEM's) tell you? "Backlog" is a number that can't be proven or disproven by outsiders. Is it in INTC's favor to stretch the truth? You bet, given the amount of non-cash compensation they rely on (and given the short memories of most analysts and gamblers...ERRR, INVESTORS). Have OEM's suddenly thrown aside the Athlon for the wonderous P4? Uhhh, no. And AMD's "backlog" sucks. For another data point, check out GTW's call on Thursday, but I ain't looking for no miracles (or increasing earnings) from INTC any time soon.
