Of course, if you want to assert that Government had more emotional impact on her than her conversations with her priest--be my guest. Enjoy wisdom while you have it. Tomorrow it may be gone.

If she disagrees with her government it may shoot her if she persists in this disagreement. Her priest is unlikely to do so. That difference is vital. Should her priest become likely to imprison or kill her for disagreeing with church policies and if this is accepted by the society (even if it is only a passive grudging acceptance) then he has become as potentially dangerous as the government.
