I am not familiar enough with Croly to do a close comparison of current neocon thought with his...... I cannot apologize for considering my patria to be the United States of America, and not Maryland, or for wanting my country to assume its rightful place as a leader among nations. If that is the substance of Crolyism, call me guilty, I care not. To be accused of resembling a liberal from the first decades of the 20th century would still, under present circumstances, make me a conservative, I think.......
